Limited warranty

Structural Warranty:

Woodland Flooring warrants all of it's indoor flooring products to be free from defects in lamination, assembly, milling, dimension and grading for the lifetime of the floor, or as long as the original purchaser owns the home in which it is installed.

Coating Warranty:

Woodland Flooring warrants to the original purchaser that, the Aluminum-Oxide, Scratch–Resistant finish used on the Bamboo flooring, when used under normal residential traffic conditions, will not wear through or separate from the wood for the lifetime of the floor, or as long as the original purchaser owns the home in which it is installed. This warranty is non-transferable.

Limited Residential Wear Warranty does not cover:

Your claim must be submitted within 30 days after the damage is detected.

Mail proof of purchase, such as sales slip, which establishes proof and date of purchase, along with a written and detailed description of the claim.

Woodland Lifestyle floors must be installed using the recommended instructions supplied with the product.

Bathroom and laundry room use is excluded from this warranty.

The damaged area must be easily visible and cover an area of no less than one square inch.

If replacement is necessary this warranty applies only to material.

This warranty does not cover wear or damage due to improper installation, cleaning care, or maintenance in a manner contrary to the instructions provided by Woodland Lifestyle floors.

This warranty does not include damage incurred by severe impact, scratching, or cutting, freight damage, fire, flooding of the floor or any other damage caused by ACTS OF GOD.

Woodland Lifestyle is not liable for any consequential, incidental, indirect or special damages caused by the purchase, use or indirect or special damages caused by the purchase, use or inability to use this product.

Woodland Lifestyle Flooring disclaims all other expressed or implied warranties including merchantability for a particular purpose.

Abuse or Misuse. This warranty does not cover damage caused by neglect, abnormal use or misuse, application of solvents, corrosives or other chemicals to the flooring, color change, excessive pivot and point-loads, stiletto shoes, heavy furniture or equipment, unpadded furniture feet, water, pet claws, pet urine, damage from sand, pebbles or other abrasives, damage due to adhesives or tape or other unintended uses. Loss of finish gloss over time is consistent with normal wear & tear and is not a product flaw. Inherent variations that are consistent with those of a natural bamboo product to include pattern, colour, and grain do not indicate defective material.

Noncompliance with installation instructions. Wholesaler cannot assume responsibility for the suitability of flooring material and accompanying products for each individual installation as Wholesaler has no control over the installer's proper application. Floor covering installed in inappropriate locations is excluded from this warranty.

Exposure to UV light and sunlight will cause colour variation to natural wood products. This is normal and is not a product flaw.

Examples

Covered:

  1. Boards are cracking open.  This is covered, a likely manufacturing defect.  Call us for advice.

  2. Coating is lifting.  This is covered.

Not covered:

  1. We moved our fridge and it left a scratch.  Not covered.  While the coating on Woodland flooring is extremely hard and durable, and Bamboo is among the very hardest of natural products, it is not impervious to damage when hard and sharp objects are dragged across it.  There are various means of removing or hiding scratches. Contact us for advice.

  2. Our dishwasher malfunctioned and flooded the kitchen.  When we got home that night the floor was damaged.  Not covered.  Water damage over an extended period will cause swelling and discolouration, possibly damaging the coating.  It may be possible to rescue the floor with prompt attention and the use of dehumidifiers, etc.  But an event like this should be claimed on your home insurance.

  3. We dropped a set of keys and a small indentation appeared.  Not covered.  Hard, heavy objects with sharp corners are likely to leave small dents.
